ABOUT

We make award-winning craft chocolate in small batches. Each bar uses beans from a single origin and expresses the unique flavors of the harvest, influenced by the location and climate where the beans were grown and how they were fermented and dried.

Our chocolate is carefully roasted, refined, and molded by hand. Each bar is then wrapped in traditional Japanese mulberry paper we produce in our studio.

OUR NAME

The scientific genus of the cacao plant is theobroma — Greek for 'food of the gods'. For over 3,000 years, Mesoamerican cultures treated cacao as a prized ingredient. We chose this name to honor that long history and to hold ourselves to the same standard.
